 Community Fund Winners Image

Aviva launched the Broker Community Fund during the last quarter in 2017, giving brokers the opportunity to submit a request for a charity they support.

We received 114 charity submissions which were reviewed by our Community Fund administrator Charities Trust.

Five charities were shortlisted and Aviva hosted the judged awards on Wednesday 21st February in their head office where the broker and their nominated charity came in and presented to the Judging panel

  • Charities Trust executive – Natalie Kenyon
  • Senior Aviva executive – Michelle White
  • Guest Celeb – Rugby former player & commentator Shane Byrne
  • Matheson’s Solicitors – Julie Murphy O’Connor
  • Aviva employee – Breda Judge

After the judges deliberated, Michelle White announced Wexford Women’s Refuge as the overall winner of the €10K prize.

Denis Kelleher, Aviva Ireland Chief Distribution Officer kindly facilitated the draw for the remaining 36 prizes of €1,000.

The atmosphere at the event was fantastic with joyful emotion & pride at the opportunity to donate to these worthy charities. The effort and quality of presentations by each of the charities was superb.

We will continue to roll out the Broker Community Fund initiative this year as part of Aviva’s support to the wider community.
