Preparing for your test

Before you take your test, make sure that you and your vehicle are test ready

• Have you completed 12 Essential Driver Training (EDT) lessons (only applies if your first learner permit was issued on or after 4 April 2011)?
• Do you have your learner permit with you? This must be produced at the time of the test
• Does your vehicle meet the requirements set out by the RSA? These will be listed in your appointment letter
• Is your vehicle clean?
• Are your ‘L’ plates displayed in the front and rear of your vehicle?
