Best Doctors is a global database of 50,000 of the world’s leading medical specialists who have been rated by their peers as the best in their field.

The provision of immediate access to Best Doctors offers you and your children these valuable benefits.

Best Doctors provides access to a valuable expert medical review of your diagnosis and review of your treatment if you have been diagnosed with a specified illness.

Best of all, it’s available automatically on all specified illness cover policies, and you don’t have to make a claim to use the service.

Children’s cover

If one of your children becomes seriously ill with a specified illness, your policy will pay out 50% of your main benefit, up to a maximum of €25,000.

In the unfortunate event of one of your children dying before a specified illness claim is paid, a death benefit of €2,500 will be payable.

This benefit applies automatically to all specified illness cover policies.

Terminal illness benefit

Available on accelerated specified illness policies only.

If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness, this benefit provides an advance payment of 80% of your death benefit, up to a maximum of €2 million.

The payment applies only if you have a life expectancy of 12 months or less, and the remaining balance of your death benefit is payable if you die within the term of your policy.

You must continue to pay premiums after receiving your terminal illness benefit.
