The 15% discount for the latest policy will be applied to the newest policy and thereafter once both policies are active the discount will be applied at each renewal.

Yes you can. Both policies must be registered to the same postal address . You will be eligible for a 15% discount off both policies at their next renewal date.

Do I have to take out both car and home insurance policies at the same time?
You do not need to purchase both policies at the same time. The first policy will not be eligible for the 15% loyalty discount until renewal. However, you may be eligible for other discounts such as our online discount, or a no claims discount.
The second policy will be eligible for a 15% discount when it is purchased, just make sure you advise us that the first policy is in place.Footnote [1]

When can I redeem my free travel insurance policy?

Renewals
If I have availed of the 15% discount on both policies what happens at my next renewal?
The 15% loyalty discount will be applied at renewal to your car and home insurance policy, so long as the second policy is still in place at each renewal date.

Mid-Term Adjustments
What happens if I make a mid-term adjustment to my policy?
The Offer is not applicable to Mid-Term Adjustments. The Aviva Loyalty Discount is only calculated on the start date or renewal date of your policies.
Cancellation
What happens if I cancel one of my policies offer?
Both of your policies must be active for the loyalty offer / discount to apply.
If you cancel one of your policies, your remaining policy will no longer be eligible for the Aviva Loyalty Discount at its next renewal.
