Important Fraud Alert:

Fake Aviva Investment Prospectus in Circulation

A fake investment prospectus is in circulation that falsely claims to be from Aviva uses our branding and lists fictitious fixed-term deposit rates and product features that are not part of our approved products. This document is called:  Promotional Fixed Term Deposit Rates’. This document is a fraudulent/fake brochure which misrepresent this product to be provided by Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC. The branding and terminology have been copied from Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC documents, but the product offered is not a life assurance product. The brochure mentions deposit and investment products and term deposit rates that Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC does not offer.

Please note: Based on experience, there may be other fake prospectuses in circulation, so it’s important to remain vigilant.

Please note: From time-to-time, we offer fixed return funds through our savings, investments, and pension products. These funds are available exclusively through authorised Financial Brokers. Only brokers who appear on the Brokers Ireland or Central Bank of Ireland registers, with correct, up to date contact details listed on those sites, are permitted to distribute these funds/products. If you have any questions or concerns about the authenticity of a fund or communication, please contact your Financial Broker.

Please review the following advice carefully.

What You Should NOT Do

  • Do NOT click on any links in ads, emails, or messages that claim to offer Aviva fixed-term deposits or high-rate investment products. Scammers often use phishing to get people to share information or open fake “investment offers.”
  • Do NOT reply to unexpected calls, emails, or messages, even if they look professional or use Aviva branding.
  • Do NOT share your personal or financial information for any reason. Scammers may ask for bank details, PPS numbers, or proof of identity or address, saying they need to do “Anti Money Laundering checks.” This is a common trick in recent investment fraud cases.

What You SHOULD Do

  • Only deal with a Financial Broker who is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
  • Check their details on the official Central Bank register or at brokersireland.ie. Fake or copied firms are a common way scammers trick people.
