We're excited to give away the opportunity for your child to be the mascot for the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team vs. Denmark/North Macedonia play-off/friendly game on 31 March 2026 at Aviva Stadium 

Competition Question: 

Who is the current captain of the Republic of Ireland Men’s Senion National Football Team?

The Promoter   

The promoter is Aviva Direct Ireland Limited (the "Promoter").  

Eligibility Criteria   

This competition ("Competition") is open to entrants who (i) are aged 18 years or over, a resident in the Republic of Ireland and (ii) are parents/guardians of a child.  

This competition is not open to the Promoters employees, agents or their families. Entrants will be offered the opportunity to enter the Competition by commenting the answer on our Instagram post. Entrants drawn from the prize draw shall be required to correctly answer the competition question above (the "Competition Question") in order for their entry to be eligible. Only one entry per person is permitted.   

The entrant is required to: 

  • answer in the comments section 
  • like and share the post 

The Prize  

The prize is the opportunity for the Child of the Prizewinner to be the official mascot for the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team vs. Denmark/North Macedonia in the play-off/friendly game on 31 March 2026 at Aviva Stadium (the “Prize”). The Prize consists of:  

  1. Three Tickets (ticket for the mascot plus two guardians) to the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team vs. Denmark/North Macedonia play-off/friendly game on 31 March 2026 at Aviva Stadium  
  2. The Mascot will accompany a randomly chosen player onto the pitch at the start of the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team vs. Denmark/North Macedonia play-off/friendly game on 31 March 2026 at Aviva Stadium  
  3. The Mascot will receive a Team Kit which will consist of one jersey, one pair of shorts and one pair of socks. 

Terms of Participation  

Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the Competition. The prizewinner (‘parent/guardian of the mascot’) and their child must be available to attend the event on 31st March 2026 at the Aviva stadium. The name and age of the mascot will be published in the match day programme under the terms and conditions of the competition.   

  • Mascots: the largest kit available is junior xl. 
  • All player mascots must be strictly aged between 8 – 10 years of age 
  • All mascots must be no taller than 1.4m in height 

Closing Date  

The closing date for Competition entries is 18th March 2026 at 9am. ("Closing Date"). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entry, which due to a technical error or any other reason, is not received or is delayed. Proof of submitting an entry is not proof of delivery. Only fully completed entries which are submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions will be eligible for the Competition. Entries received by any other means (including by hand delivery) will be invalid.   

Selection of  Prizewinner  

The prizewinner will be selected at random from the eligible entries received on Instagram before the Closing Date. The selection is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with any entrant. The prizewinner will be selected after the Closing Date. The selected prizewinner will receive an Instagram message with details of the prize. 

If for any reason the prizewinner or their child is unable to attend the event, an alternative winner will be selected. 

Redemption of the Prize  

The prizewinner and their child must be available to attend the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team vs. Denmark/North Macedonia play-off/friendly game on 31 March 2026  

Miscellaneous  

The Promoter shall not be responsible for any matter arising out of or resulting from the enjoyment of the Prize.  

The Promoter cannot accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of third parties. The Promoter shall not be liable to any entrant or prizewinner or the accompanying child for any loss or damage howsoever caused, whether direct, indirect or consequential arising out of or in connection with the Competition and/or any Prize other than death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Promoter and/or the Promoter's respective personnel and/or deceit or fraud by the Promoter and/or the Promoter's respective personnel.  

The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend or amend the Competition or the terms and conditions of the Competition with no liability to any entrant, prizewinner or any third party.  

The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised Prize become unavailable for any reason or where circumstances dictate.  

The following terms which are used in the terms and conditions have the following meaning: the term "we" or "us" means the Promoter; "you" "your" or "entrant" means a person who participates in the Competition under the terms and conditions of the Competition; "entry form" is the form produced by the Promoter in connection with the Competition; and "prizewinner" means a person who wins a prize under the terms and conditions of the Competition.  

Governing Law & Jurisdiction  

The Competition and these terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Competition shall be dealt with exclusively by the Courts of Ireland.  

Data Protection Notice 

This notice explains the most important aspects of how we use your personal information in relation to the Competition and what rights you have in relation to your personal information. Identity of the Data Controller: The data controller responsible for this Competition is Aviva Direct Ireland Limited as the Promoter of the Competition. It is the responsibility of the prizewinner to familiarise themselves with the privacy policy of relevant third-party providers.  

What information we collect and what we use it for: We will only make use of and process the personal information of the prizewinner (Contact details, email and telephone number) provided in connection with the Competition for a maximum period of 12 months from the Closing Date of the Competition as set out in the terms and conditions of the Competition.  

Legal grounds for processing for the Competition: The Promoter relies on the legal grounds of consent in order to process the personal data of the entrants and prizewinner for the purposes of the Competition. Consent be withdrawn at any time.  

Who we share your information with: We will share your information (name and email address) with the IRFU who will issue the prize for this Competition.  

In accordance with the Code of Standards for Advertising and Marketing Communications in Ireland, the name and county of the prizewinner will be available for a period of one month after the Closing Date of the Competition. This can be requested by sending a stamped addressed envelope denoting the offered competition prize to the Promoter at the following address: Aviva Marketing, Aviva Ireland, Building 12, Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18   

How long we keep your personal information for:  All entrants’ personal information is processed strictly for the purposes of the Competition and may be retained by us for a period of up to 12 months from the Closing Date of the Competition.  

Your rights: You have various rights in relation to your personal information, including:   

  • the right to request access to your personal information  
  • correct any mistakes on our records  
  • Erase or restrict records where they are no longer required  
  • Withdraw consent, where applicable  

Note: you have the right to object to the use of your personal information at any stage however, any successful objection may have consequences (e.g. prevent us from processing and/or administering your Competition entry and you may not be able to claim any prize that you may otherwise be entitled) and we can discuss these if you want to object.
