Our native woodlands capture and store carbon dioxide from the atmosphere helping to tackle climate change. These amazing native trees also enhance biodiversity and animal habitats. Aviva are a leading provider of pension, investment, home, motor, travel, and life insurance to nearly 800,000 customers in Ireland and is proving the Nature Trust with €5 million euro in funding to plant 1.2 million native trees across Ireland over the next few years.
These trees include oak, holly, and hawthorn and this will create almost a thousand acres of new native woodlands. That’s the equivalent of one tree for every family in Ireland or over 560 Aviva Stadium pitches!
