How to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your MyAviva account

Enable a second layer of security to protect your MyAviva.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Log in or register to MyAviva
  2. Select Your Account then select your Account Settings
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen
  4. Enable the option for two-step verification
  5. Select Configure two-step verification
  6. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and select Generate QR Code after you have installed the app
  7. You can complete the setup by scanning a QR code or configuring it manually.
    1. Option 1: QR Code
      Scan the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator app, then enter the six-digit code displayed in the app. This will complete the setup for two-step verification.
    2. Option 2: Manual Configuration
       First, add a new account in the Microsoft Authenticator app. On MyAviva, you will be shown a setup code—copy this code into the Microsoft Authenticator app. Then enter the six-digit code displayed in the app to complete the two-step verification setup.
  8. You have now paired your MyAviva account to Microsoft Authenticator app
  9. You will receive an email confirmation when pairing is successful
  10. The next time you log into your MyAviva account, you will be presented to enter in the code from the Microsoft Authenticator app

Success! You have now enabled two-factor authentication on your MyAviva account.

Step 1: Log in or register to MyAviva

Step 2: You will see your MyAviva dashboard

Step 3: Select Your Account then select your Account Settings

Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the screen

Step 4: Select configure two-step verification

Step 5: Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and select Generate QR Code after you have installed the app

Step 6: If you cannot scan select Configure Manually

Step 7: If you have used the app, add your account on the app

Step 8: Select other from the options in the app

Step 9: Scan the QR code on your MyAviva account using the app

Step 10: If you are chosen Configure Manually, input the code from your MyAviva account

Step 11: Give your account a name you will recognise

Step 12: You will be presented with a pin for your MyAviva account

Step 13: Enter the pin from the app and select continue

Step 14: Enter pin from app if you have chosen manually

Step 15: You have now paired your MyAviva account to Microsoft Authenticator app

Step 16: You will receive an email confirmation when pairing is successful

Step 17: The next time you log into your MyAviva account

Step 18: You will be presented to enter in the code from the Microsoft Authenticator app
