Proud sponsors of the FAI since 2010
Our partnership has grown over the last nine years to include the Aviva Soccer Sisters grassroots programme for young girls aged between 6-14. We are also proud to sponsor the Women's National Team.

Men's senior team
Since 2010, the Irish soccer team have won a Carling Nations Cup on home turf in Aviva Stadium, qualified for UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and UEFA EURO 2016 in France where they progressed to the final 16 in the tournament.

Women's national team
Aviva became sponsors of the Women's National Team in 2018.
We are proud to partner with the Women's National Team as they embark upon their 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers.
Aviva Programmes
Aviva Soccer Sisters
Aviva Soccer Sisters is a grassroots programme for girls aged 7 – 14 with the aim of increasing the number of girls playing football countrywide. Girls are encouraged to enjoy football in a free, fun, friendly and safe environment.

Aviva Future Stars Programme (9-12)
The Aviva Future Stars programme will be the second point of engagement for girls into the sport. Targeted age group 9-12 years, the key central theme to this programme will be to further develop the agility, balance, and coordination of each participant. This will be aligned with the fundamentals of the game in the form of fun, dynamic coaching sessions across 8-10 weeks.

Aviva Girls in Green Programme (13-16)
The Aviva Girls in Green programme is the next phase on the pathway and an increasingly important one. The methodology and support are the same as the future stars programme but obviously a higher age group. We have seen a significant drop off in the number of registered players in this age group and this programme will look at addressing that problem with an age-appropriate tailored coaching syllabus.
Cheering on the Girls in Green
On December 1st 2020, the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team took on Germany in a crucial qualifier for the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022. Unfortunately, we couldn’t be there in person to cheer on the girls’ in green but we wanted to show the team that, win or lose, we’re behind them all the way. To do this, we enlisted the help of our Aviva Soccer Sisters from Baldoyle FC, Portmarnock FC & clubs throughout the country to send a special ‘Good Luck’ message to the team. We also gave two of the team’s biggest fans the chance to be our virtual mascots & meet their heroes!

Do you feel brave, competitive or nervous before a game? We wanted to know
00:00:30 Katie McCabe
I always feel very confident before game. I think that's because I've got such great teammates around me. And I know we're prepared as best we can to go out and do a job.

Is this the biggest game of your career?

Ooh good question for me. My next game is always the biggest of my career. So obviously Germany coming up now it's, you know what's at stake for it. We have to get a playoff so yeah, for me, it's definitely going to be a big one.
