Cheering on the Girls in Green

On December 1st the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team will take on Germany in a crucial qualifier for the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022. Unfortunately, we can’t be there in person to cheer on the girls’ in green but we wanted to show the team that, win or lose, we’re behind them all the way.

To do this, we enlisted the help of our Aviva Soccer Sisters from Baldoyle FC, Portmarnock FC & clubs throughout the country to send a special ‘Good Luck’ message to the team. COME ON YOU GIRLS IN GREEN!

Tonight the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team will take on Germany for their final game on the road to the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022. We can’t all be in Tallaght to cheer on the girls’ in green, but ahead of the game we gave two of the team’s biggest fans the chance to be our virtual mascots & meet their heroes. Check out how Peigí and Séimí got on!

Proud sponsors of the FAI since 2010

Our partnership has grown over the last nine years to include the Aviva Soccer Sisters grassroots programme for young girls aged between 6-14. We are also proud to sponsor the Women's National Team.

Take a look at our latest news

Men's senior team

Since 2010, the Irish soccer team have won a Carling Nations Cup on home turf in Aviva Stadium, qualified for UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and UEFA EURO 2016 in France where they progressed to the final 16 in the tournament.

The team are currently competing in the UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying campaign, in the hope of qualifying for UEFA EURO 2020, where four games will be hosted in Aviva Stadium.

Women's national team

Aviva became sponsors of the Women's National Team in 2018.

We are proud to partner with the Women's National Team as they embark upon their UEFA EURO 2021 qualifying campaign later this year.

Aviva Soccer Sisters

Aviva Soccer Sisters Easter Football festival is for girls aged between 6-14. This year, the programme was revamped and free camps were offered over the Easter period. Over 7,000 girls from clubs around the country took part.

Aviva worked with the FAI to help to double the amount of spaces available nationwide. This year's festival format incorporated "Come and Try" camps, and Football blitzes with the emphasis on the non-competitive element of football.

The programme culminates in a 'Dream Camp' which is held in Aviva Stadium in May each year. Participants are given the chance to play on Ireland's greatest football pitch, and get a full behind the scenes experience.
